Configure Document
When you open an assembly document, you can create a new configuration, and either suppress or resolve all of the components at once. You can specify which configuration to use for the parts contained in the new assembly configuration.
To create a new configuration when opening an assembly:

Click File, Open.

In the Open dialog box:

Select an assembly document.

Under Configurations, select <Advanced>.

Click Open.
The Configure Document dialog box appears.

Specify options as described below.

Click OK.
The assembly opens with the specified configuration.
Options

Open currently selected configuration. Opens the configuration in which that the assembly was last saved.

New configuration showing all referenced models. Select to open the assembly with all the components resolved. Type a name for the new assembly configuration in Configuration name.

New configuration showing assembly structure only. Select to open the assembly with all the components suppressed. Type a name for the new assembly configuration in Configuration name.

Use specified configuration for part references when available. When selected, any part that has a configuration with the specified name uses that configuration. Type the name of the part configuration to use in Configuration name.
