Setting Options

Overview of SolidWorks Simulation Options

Simulation Options customize Simulation functionality. All Simulation Options are stored in the registry. All changes to Options take effect upon clicking the OK button in the Options dialog box.

  • System Options. Apply to all studies in all documents.

  • Default Options. Apply to new studies. Settings for Default Plots apply to studies without existing result folders (template).

The options listed in each tab are displayed in tree format on the left side of the dialog box. As you click an item in the tree, the options for the item appear on the right side of the dialog box. The title bar displays the title of the tab combined with the title of the options page.

To access the Options dialog box:

  • Click Simulation, Options
