Combining Properties in Table Equations

You can combine properties in table equations. In this example, display component file location in a BOM table by combining its SW-Folder Name and SW-File Name properties.

  1. Add a new column to the table and label it as necessary.

  2. From the table, click a cell or column heading and for Column type, select Equation.

  3. Click the Equation tool .

  4. In the dialog box, click Custom Properties and select SW-Folder Name.

  5. For Precision, select General Format, which enters a set of empty curly braces {}.

You must use this general precision value to concatenate the values of two custom properties.

  6. For Custom Properties select SW-File Name and click .

You can click the equation symbol in the upper right corner of the column to edit the equation.
