Dragging control points as opposed to spline points localizes the area of change, giving you more precise control over the spline’s shape.

To display control polygons by default:

  1. Click Options (Standard toolbar) or Tools, Options.

  2. On the System Options tab, click Sketch.

  3. Select Show spline control polygon by default.

To display a control polygon:

In an open sketch, right-click the spline and select or clear Display Control Polygon

- or -

Select or clear Display Control Polygon (Spline Tools toolbar).

To use a control polygon:

  1. Sketch a spline.

  1. Select a control point to activate it and display the Spline Polygon PropertyManager.

  1. Drag the control polygon to adjust the shape of the spline.
