Link to Property

You can link the value of a document property, a custom property, or a configuration-specific property to a text entity in a sketch. You can also link a property to rows of a table or BOM. If the value of the property changes, the linked text changes automatically.

To link sketch text to a property, open the Sketch Text PropertyManager and click Link to Property .
  • To link to an existing property, select the property from the pull-down list.
  • If you select a date property, you can choose Long Date or Short Date format and whether to show the time of day (select Show Time) or just the date (clear Show Time).
  • To create a new property, click File Properties.

The linked text is the value assigned to the property to which it is linked.
