ComponentCount Property (IEModelViewControl)

Gets the number of components in the specified configuration.

Parameters

Config
Name of the configuration for which to get the number of components or an empty string ("") or an asterisk ("*") (see Remarks)

Return Value

Number of components in Config

Remarks

Because eDrawings does not support configurations for native SolidWorks documents (.sldprt, .sldasm, and .slddrw), this method does not return the number of configurations in a SolidWorks document. To use configurations in eDrawings, you must have an eDrawings file that was published from SolidWorks.

Passing an:

  • Empty string ("") returns the number of components in the active configuration.

  • Asterisk ("*") returns the total number of components in all configurations.

Call IEModelViewControl::ConfigurationName before calling this property. Call this property before calling IEModelViewControl::ComponentName.
