SketchSpline Method (IModelDoc2)

Creates a spline, or continues one, passing through the specified points (x, y, z).

.NET Syntax

Visual Basic (Declaration)
Sub SketchSpline( _
   ByVal MorePts As Integer, _
   ByVal X As Double, _
   ByVal Y As Double, _
   ByVal Z As Double _
)
Visual Basic (Usage)
Dim instance As IModelDoc2
Dim MorePts As Integer
Dim X As Double
Dim Y As Double
Dim Z As Double

instance.SketchSpline(MorePts, X, Y, Z)
C#
void SketchSpline(
   int MorePts,
   double X,
   double Y,
   double Z
)
C++/CLI
void SketchSpline(
&   int MorePts,
&   double X,
&   double Y,
&   double Z
)

Parameters

MorePts
Number of points to specify for the spline
X
x value of point coordinates in meters
Y
y value of point coordinates in meters
Z
z value of point coordinates in meters

Return Value

The values for morePts must range from n to 0. When the value reaches 0, then the spline is created. For example, if specifying 5 points, then the value of morePts must range from 4 to 0.

In SolidWorks 2005 SP1 and earlier, if a failure occurred in a previous call to ModelDoc2::SketchSpline, then subsequent calls to this method failed. In SolidWorks 2005 SP2 and later, if you specify a negative value for morePts prior to sending the actual data, then the method will reinitialize.

In 2D sketches, z is ignored.
