Inserts an ordinate dimension.

Parameters

DimType
Dimension type as defined in swAddOrdinateDims_e
LocX

X location for the dimension

LocY

Y location for the dimension

LocZ
Z location for the dimension

Return Value

Error as defined by swCreateOrdDimError_e

Remarks

Before using this method, select the base entity and then select the entities to which to dimension.

Selections made after the method is called continue to add ordinate measurements to the set. When you have finished adding measurements for an ordinate dimension set, use IModelDoc2::SetPickMode to clear the state. Any errors are returned as error codes, not dialog boxes.

Use IModelDoc2::EditOrdinate to add onto an existing ordinate.
