Slot PropertyManager

Controls the properties of a sketched slot.

Select an existing slot or create a new slot (for example, by clicking Straight Slot tool (Sketch toolbar) or Tools > Sketch Entities > Straight Slot).

Existing Relations

If you select an existing slot:

Displays relations inferenced automatically during sketching or created manually with Add Relations.

When you select a relation in the list, a callout is highlighted in the graphics.

Displays the status of the selected sketch entity (Fully Defined, Under Defined, and so on).

Add Relations

If you select an existing slot, you can add relations to the selected entity. The list includes only relations that are possible for the selected entity.

Relations specific to slots:
Fix Slot The slot size and location are fixed.
Equal Slots When multiple slots are selected, keep the sizes equivalent. If you modify the size of one slot, all related slots are resized.

Slot Types

For new slots:
Straight Slot Sketch a straight slot using the two end points.
Centerpoint Straight Slot Sketch a straight slot from the center point.
3 Point Arc Slot Sketch an arc slot using three points along the arc.
Centerpoint Arc Slot Sketch an arc slot using the center point of the arc and the two end points.
  Add Dimensions Display the length and arc dimensions for the slot.
For new or existing slots:
Center to Center Straight slot length dimensions measure from center to center.
Overall Length Straight slot length dimensions measure the overall length of the slot.
Arc slot angle dimensions always measure from center to center.

Parameters

You can specify any appropriate combination of the following parameters to define the slot if the slot is not constrained by relations.
All slots include:
X coordinate for the center of the slot
Y coordinate for the center of the slot
Width of the slot
Length of the slot
Arc slots also include:
Radius of the arc
Angle of the arc
