Vertical Ordinate Dimensions

Creates vertical ordinate dimensions in a drawing or sketch, measured vertically from the entity you select first.

To create vertical ordinate dimensions:

  1. With a drawing or sketch active, click Vertical Ordinate Dimension on the Dimensions/Relations toolbar, or click Tools, Dimensions, Vertical Ordinate.

  2. Click the first item from which all others will be measured, and click again to place the dimension.

  3. Click an item to dimension. Repeat this step until all the remaining items are dimensioned.

The dimension tool remains in ordinate mode until you select another mode or another tool.
