Ambient Occlusion
Ambient occlusion is a global lighting method
that adds realism to models by controlling the attenuation of ambient
light due to occluded areas. Objects appear as they would on an overcast day.
Recommendations
Do not use with surfaces.
Avoid applying to thin walled models.
Light, non-reflective appearances such as matte aluminum or light grey low gloss plastic display better results than shiny or dark appearances.
To add ambient occlusion:
Select Ambient
Occlusion from Apply Scene
in the Heads-up View toolbar.
