Convert Properties - Conversion Settings

Use the Conversion Settings page of the Convert - Properties dialog box to select an output file format and specify how to handle source file references.

To display this page, expand the Tasks node and click Convert. In the left pane, click Conversion Settings.

You can let users change most settings. When a user initiates the conversion, a Convert dialog box displays your original settings so the user can change them.
However, if you want a task to be performed silently, when triggered by a change in a workflow state for example, you must:
  • Specify the output file format.
  • Clear all Allow the user to change this setting check boxes.
Output file format Format to which selected files are converted.
Conversion Options Displays conversion options when selected output file format supports conversion options.

Configurations

The Configurations tab specifies how to handle configurations when models are converted.

Configurations to output

All configurations

Output is created for each configuration.

Last active configuration

Only the last configuration used is converted.

Named configuration (use * as wildcard)

Only configurations you specify are converted.

You cannot use the @ configuration as a named configuration.

Multi-configuration output

Create one output file per configuration

An individual output file is created for each configuration.

Include all configurations in the same output file

A single output file is created, containing all the configurations.

Sheets

The Sheets tab specifies how drawing sheets are output for converted drawings.

Sheets to output

All sheets

Output is created for all sheets in the drawing.

Last active sheet

Only the most recently used drawing sheet is converted.

Named sheet (use * as wildcard)

Only sheets you specify are converted.

Allow the user to change this setting

Multi-sheet output

Create one output file per sheet

A separate file is created for each drawing sheet.

Include all sheets in the same output file

One output file is created for all drawing sheets.

Source file references

When the files being converted contain references, these options control how to handle the references.

Use the referenced version of the referenced files ("as built") Uses version of referenced files used when file being converted was built.
Use the latest version of the referenced files  
Allow the user to change this setting
