New Configuration Dialog Box

Use the New Configuration dialog box to specify configurations to be searched for variables when you create or modify a file list column set or bill of materials template.

To display this dialog box, in the Customizable Columns or Bill of Materials dialog box, select Look for variable in given list of configurations. Under Configurations, click .

Read variable from files that do not have configurations Retrieves the variable value from the file data card of a file that contains no configurations (that is, no configuration tabs appear in the file data card list on the Preview tab in Windows Explorer).
Read variable from configurations with this name When selected, you can type the name of the configuration from which the variable data will be obtained.
