Controlled by Variable Dialog Box

Use the Controlled by Variable dialog box to make the available list values in a data card control depend on the value selected in another list or edit box.

To display this dialog box, add a list control (List box, Combobox Dropdown, Combobox Droplist, or Combobox Simple) to a data card. In the Properties pane, select Controlled by variable, and click Details.

Before using Controlled by Variable, you must define the controlling and dependent card lists that are used.

Variable Select the variable of the controlling card list.
Variable Value/ Cardlist dependencies Variable Value Type a value defined in the controlling cardlist.
Cardlist Select the card list that will be displayed when the user chooses this variable.
