Getting File Versions

Use the Get Latest Version or Get Version commands to change the version of a file in your local cache.

  • Running these commands replaces and overwrites any checked out version in your working folder with the file from the vault. A message prompts you to accept replacement.
  • These commands are not available if you select Automatically get latest version of files on the Explorer tab of the Settings dialog box in the Administration tool. See Setting the Latest Version Option.
  • If you use the Get Latest Version command on a folder, all sub-folders and files are processed and the latest version of each file is retrieved.
  • For Get Version, cold storage (archived) version are listed under Versions in Cold Storage in the version list. You can restore cold stored files if the files have not been deleted or moved outside of the vault.
