Enterprise PDM Toolbar

The SolidWorks Enterprise PDM toolbar for AutoCAD lets you access source control and workflow tools.

Check out active drawing Checks out the active drawing for editing (if currently checked in). When checked out, you can make changes to the file.

If you change a drawing before checking it out, the changes are lost when you check it out. Save the changes to another file name, then apply them to the original file after you check it out.

Check in active drawing Checks in the active drawing file (if currently checked out by you) and saves changes to the file in the vault. You can type comments and see the drawing's references.
  • If the local version of the file has been modified, a new version of the file is created in the vault.
  • After the file is checked in, it is closed in AutoCAD. Use the recent file list to re-open it.
Update title block Updates title block attributes of the currently selected layout in the active drawing with values from the file data card linked to the file. This is useful when changing drawings that contain empty title blocks.
Update all title blocks Updates title block attributes of all layouts in the active drawing with values from the file data card linked to the file.
Show drawing properties Shows the Enterprise PDM properties of the active drawing or a selected xref, including Location, Local version, Latest version, Checked out by, Checked out in, and Workflow state.
Add-in settings Allows you to set options:

Prompt to check out checked in drawings that are opened in AutoCAD.

Prompts you to check out a drawing that is open in a checked-in, read-only state.

Display a warning when trying to edit a checked in drawing.

Show the Enterprise PDM status window.

Time between checks that all xrefs are up-to-date.

Sets the minutes between each check of the vault to ensure that loaded xrefs are up-to-date.
