SolidWorks Enterprise PDM

Use SolidWorks® Enterprise PDM to manage your enterprise data, including SolidWorks assemblies and bills of materials (BOMs).

This help system documents the features and functions available to users of Enterprise PDM items using Item Explorer. Also refer to the following help systems:

  • Creating a Local Vault View

    To view and manage items, you must connect to an Enterprise PDM vault through a local folder called a local vault view.

  • Deleting a Local Vault View

    Delete a local vault view when you no longer need to access it. When you delete a local view, the actual vault is not deleted.

  • Logging In

    Log in to an Enterprise PDM vault from Item Explorer to access the items and files stored there.

  • Logging Out

    Log out of an Enterprise PDM vault to log in as another user or to free system resources. Exiting Item Explorer does not log you out.

  • Changing Your Password

    You can change your Enterprise PDM password from the Administration tool.
