Configurations

You can rename or delete configurations for the selected part or assembly.

To list configurations:

  1. Select the document in the File Explorer tab in the left pane.

  2. Select the Configurations tab in the right pane.

Information about the model's configurations appears in the following columns:

  • Name. Lists the name of the configuration.

  • Alt Name. Lists alternate names for the configurations.

  • Description. Lists the description specified in the Configuration Properties PropertyManager in SolidWorks.

  • Comment. Lists the comments specified in the Configuration Properties PropertyManager in SolidWorks.

You can save the contents of the list to a text file by clicking Save to File (SolidWorks Explorer toolbar).

To rename a configuration:

Right-click the configuration Name and select Rename or Delete.

To display another configuration:

In the area above the Configuration tab, click and select a configuration name.
