Change Property Value

You can change the value of a document property in the Document Information dialog box or in the SolidWorks Explorer client.

If SolidWorks Workgroup PDM is added in, you must be the owner to change properties of a vaulted document. Also, the vault administrator must have enabled changing document properties on the Vault Settings tab of VaultAdmin. The vault administrator defines document properties for all projects in the vault on the Properties tab of VaultAdmin.

To change a document property:

1. In the Document Information dialog box, or in SolidWorks Explorer, select the Properties tab.

2. Right-click a property and select Change. You cannot change properties such as Revision or Status that are controlled by Workgroup PDM processes.

3. Edit the text in the Value box and click OK.

To add a document property:

1. Right-click <add new> and select Change.

2. Type a new property name and value.

3. Click OK.
