Delete/Rollback Document

When you delete a document from the SolidWorks Workgroup PDM vault, it is placed in an Obsolete folder. When you roll back a document, revisions later than the specified revision are placed in the Obsolete folder.

You can choose to delete only the selected document, the document and its children, or only the children.

The vault administrator controls who has permission to delete documents on the Vault Settings tab of VaultAdmin.

You must own a document to delete it or roll back the revision.

To delete or roll back a document:

In the SolidWorks or SolidWorks Explorer client:

  • Select the document and press Delete.

  • Right-click the document and select Delete / Rollback.

For an efficient method of deleting documents, see Best Practices.
