Refresh Views

You can refresh the local view to update status information and refresh the vault view to update document information without logging out. The client is not in constant communication with the vault, which means less traffic over the network but requires you to occasionally refresh the views.

If you are using SolidWorks Workgroup PDM when the vault administrator changes settings in VaultAdmin , you must refresh the vault view for the changes to take effect. Some changes, such as those affecting user accounts and passwords, take effect only when the client is closed.

To refresh the local view:

  • Right-click the local view and select Refresh View.

To refresh the vault view:

  • Click Refresh in the SolidWorks Task Pane.

  • Right-click the vault view and select Refresh Vault View.

To refresh the view that was most recently active:

  • Press F5.

  • In the SolidWorks Explorer client, click Refresh Views .
