Basic Lighting Actions

To work with lighting, start in the DisplayManager , click View Scenes, Lights and Cameras , and expand the Lights folder.

To add a light source
Right-click the Lights folder or a light in the folder and select Add Directional Light, Add Spot Light, or Add Point Light.
To delete a light source
Right-click a light and select Delete.
To turn a light on or off
Right-click a light and select On in SolidWorks or Off in SolidWorks. If PhotoView is added in, you can also select On in PhotoView or Off in PhotoView. Indicators next to each light show the light's current state.
To modify lighting properties
Right-click a light and select Edit Directional Light, Edit Point Light, or Edit Spot Light.
To modify all lighting properties
Right-click the Lights folder or a light in the folder and select Edit All Lights. Click Back and Next to display each lighting PropertyManager.
To show all lights in the graphics area
Right-click the Lights folder or a light in the folder and select Show Lights .
