Changing the Origin Location and Orientation

You can change the origin location and orientation in blocks.

To display the origin orientation location for blocks:

  1. Create blocks from several sketch entities.

  1. In the FeatureManager design tree, right-click a Block and select Edit Block.

The origin and orientation changes for each block.

 To change the origin location or orientation:

  1. Follow steps 1 and 2 from the previous procedure.

  2. Click Tools, Sketch Tools, Align, Align Grid/Origin.

  3. In the Align Grid/Origin PropertyManager, under Selections:

  • To change only the sketch origin:

Select a vertex or point for
Sketch Origin Location .

  • To change both the sketch and orientation:

Click in X-axis or Y-axis, and select a line to change the orientation of the sketch origin.

You can select internal or external sketch entities as references to define both the orientation and the location along the X or Y axis.
