Manually Creating Shut-Off Surfaces

To manually create a shut-off surface:

  1. In the Shut-Off Surface PropertyManager, set the fill type for the hole to No Fill.

  2. Using tools on the Surfaces toolbar, create two identical surface patches for the hole - one for the cavity surface and one for the core surface.

You can use Offset Surface on the Surfaces toolbar, with Offset Distance set to 0.00, to create a copy of the surface patch you create.

The surface patches appear in the Surface Bodies folder in the FeatureManager design tree.

  1. Drag one surface patch into the Cavity Surface Bodies folder , and one into the Core Surface Bodies folder .
