Improving Rendering Performance

Tips for improving rendering performance:

Preview window

  • Use the Preview Render window to assess the effect of changes before performing a full render.
  • Resize the Preview Render window so that it is smaller.
Render quality
In the PhotoView Options PropertyManager, set Final render quality to the lowest level that you need.
Typically, there is little difference between Best and Maximum. The Maximum setting is most effective when rendering occluded spaces or interior scenes.
Shadows
For directional, point, and spot lights, you can set Shadow quality on the PhotoView tab of each light's PropertyManager. Higher values increase render times.
