Flick and Multi-Touch Actions

If you install SolidWorks on a touch-enabled computer, you can use flick touch and multi-touch gestures in SolidWorks.

Flick Touch Action Mappings

Flick Touch Action SolidWorks Interpretation
Back Left arrow view rotation
Forward Right arrow view rotation
Drag down Down arrow view rotation
Drag up Up arrow view rotation
Scroll down Shift + down arrow view rotation
Scroll up Shift + up arrow view rotation
All other flick actions such as Undo invoke the same commands in SolidWorks.

Multi-Touch Action Mappings

Multi-Touch Action SolidWorks Interpretation
From a distance apart, move two fingers toward each other in the same line. Zoom out
From a distance apart, move two fingers away from each other in the same line. Zoom in
Fix two fingers close together, such as the index and middle finger, and move them in unison in the same direction. Rotate
Fix two fingers a distance apart, and move them in unison in the same direction. Pan
Rotate and swipe two fingers. Roll
Double-tap two fingers. Zoom-to-fit
Press with one finger and tap with another. Right-click
Set the distance sensitivity that differentiates the pan and rotate motions in System Options - Touch.
