GetDefinition Method (IFeature)

Gets a feature definition object (e.g., IBaseFlangeFeatureData, IBendsFeatureData, IBreakCornerFeatureData, etc.) that you can use to access the parameters that control the definition of this feature.

Remarks

You can use this method to query data or modify the definition along with IFeature::ModifyDefinition and IFeature::IModifyDefinition2. Set the feature definition object to Nothing when it is no longer needed. For example:

Dim FeatDefinition As Object

Set FeatDefinition = Feat.GetDefinition

' Do something with FeatDefinition

...

' Set FeatDefinition to Nothing when no longer needed

Set FeatDefinition = Nothing

...

Not all feature types are supported, so check to see that the returned object is valid.
