eDrawings Professional Licenses

If a file originated from SolidWorks Professional or SolidWorks Premium, it has an embedded eDrawings Professional license (it is review-enabled). This is true for native SolidWorks files and published eDrawings files.

If a file is saved in eDrawings Professional, it also has an embedded eDrawings Professional license.

When you open a file with an embedded eDrawings Professional license, the free eDrawings viewer transforms into eDrawings Professional while that file is open.

Measure-enabled, non-eDrawings Professional files, can be:
  • Opened in the free eDrawings viewer and be measure-disabled.
  • Opened in eDrawings Professional and be measure-enabled.
  • Saved in the free eDrawings viewer as measure-enabled files.
