Diagnostic Error Messages

During interactive recognition, if the software fails to recognize a feature, a detailed error message appears to explain the reason for the failure and to suggest possible solutions. The message also includes a link to a help topic.

The messages for each feature type follow a particular sequence. For example, suppose your model contains a cliff chamfer with a very large edge angle. FeatureWorks checks the edge angle first. If the chamfer fails the edge angle test, FeatureWorks does not proceed to the cliff chamfer test, so only a message about the edge angle problem appears.
