Defeature - Motion

If you want to allow motion in an assembly, you can remove details from groups of components and allow motion between the groups.

In an assembly, click Tools > Defeature. In the PropertyManager, click Next .

Assembly Motion

Components to Group Specifies components to group together. Motion is allowed between groups, but not between components within a group. Select components and click Create Group.
  Group Lists the groups you create. Select a group to highlight it in the graphics area. To dissolve a group, click Delete Group.

Mates

  Mates Lists the mates that remain in the less-detailed assembly.

Section View

Lets you see and select internal components or bodies.

  Reference Section Plane/Face Specifies the plane or face to use to section the model. Select a plane or face, or click Front , Top , or Right to create the section view. Reverse Section Direction changes the direction of the cut.
Offset Distance Offsets the section from the reference plane by a specified distance.
X Rotation Rotates the section plane along the X-axis.
Y Rotation Rotates the section plane along the Y-axis.
In the FeatureManager design tree, you can right-click Defeature and click Edit Feature , Save Result, Upload to 3DCC, or Delete.
