Smart Component PropertyManager

Define or edit a Smart Component in a temporary defining assembly.

To define a component as smart, see Creating Smart Components. To edit the definition of an existing Smart Component, see Edit Definition of a Smart Component.

Smart Component

  • Component to make smart . Select the component to make smart.

Components

  • Components associated with Smart Component . Select one or more components to associate with the Smart Component, such as gaskets, dust caps, and screws.

Features

  • Features to make smart . Select one or more features to associate with the Smart Component, such as bosses and holes.

  • Hide/Show Components. Click to hide or show components selected for Component to make smart and Components associated with Smart Component . When you click in the Features to make smart selection box, the components are hidden automatically to facilitate selection of features in the graphics area.

Auto Size

  • Diameter. Select to add auto-sizing capability to a cylindrical Smart Component that has multiple configurations.

  • Concentric mate reference . Select a cylindrical face or axis on the Smart Component. A mate reference is created between the selected face or axis and the feature selected in Features to make smart .

  • Hide/Show Components. Click to hide or show components containing features selected for Features to make smart . When you select Diameter, the components are hidden automatically to facilitate selection of a cylindrical face or axis on the Smart Component.

Configurator Table. Click to map configurations of the Smart Component to configurations of the associated components and features.
