Creating 3D Splines

Create splines in 3D sketches or use 3D sketch planes.

Creating 3D Splines

To create a spline in a 3D sketch:

  1. Click 3D Sketch art\3D_SKTCH.gif (Sketch toolbar) or Insert, 3D Sketch.

  2. Click Spline art\SPLINE.gif (Sketch toolbar) or Tools, Sketch Entities, Spline.

  3. Click to place the first spline point, then drag to sketch the spline.

The Spline PropertyManager appears.

Each time you release the left button, a new 3D origin is created:

To change planes , press Tab.

  1. Continue to place spline points and change planes if necessary.

  2. When the spline is complete, double-click to stop sketching.

Editing 3D Splines

With some exceptions, such as the Z coordinate , editing 3D splines is similar to editing 2D splines.
