Toolbox Part PropertyManager

Use the Toolbox part PropertyManager to set part properties, such as sizes.

With an assembly open, drag a Toolbox component into the assembly or right-click the component and click Insert Into Assembly.

Part Numbers

Add/Update Saves your property settings to simplify selecting the same part size in the future.
Delete Removes saved property settings.

Properties

Depending on the component, properties might be editable or read-only.

Comment Describes the part.
Configuration Name Available only when storing component sizes as configurations. See Toolbox - User Settings.
File Name Available only when storing component sizes as parts. See Toolbox - User Settings.
Component Properties Specifies component-specific properties, such as diameter and thread length.
Restore Values Resets custom text properties to the default values. Available only if you have changed at least one custom property value.

Options

Auto size to mated geometry Adapts the part size to the size of the geometry to which it is dragged. The following Toolbox components support auto sizing:
  • Bolts and screws
  • Nuts
  • Retaining rings
  • Pins
  • Washers
  • Bearings
  • O-rings
  • Gears
