Exporting Filters

You can save filters for future use.
The filter file format changed between SolidWorks 2008 SP4 and SolidWorks 2008 SP5. The new format is not compatible with older versions of CircuitWorks. However, filter files using the old format are compatible with the current version of CircuitWorks.

To export your filters:

  1. Set up the filters you want to save.

All filters (board, holes, components, and so on) will be saved to the filter file.

  2. Click the Tools tab (top of the CircuitWorks window), then click Export Filters from Filter Settings.
  3. From the Save As dialog box, select a destination folder and enter a file name, then click Save.

CircuitWorks saves filter files in CircuitWorks Filter File (.cwf) format.
