Saving an ECAD File

You can save changes you make to an ECAD file in CircuitWorks. You can save to the same file name or to a different file name or format.

To save an ECAD file:

  1. From CircuitWorks, use filters or edit properties as needed to modify the open file.
  2. Do one:
    • To save to the same file you opened, click Save (Quick Access toolbar) or Save from the CircuitWorks application menu .
    • To save to a different file name and optionally a different file format:
      1. Click Save As from the CircuitWorks application menu .
      2. From the Save As dialog box, select a file type and enter a file name.
      3. Click Save.

The saved file can now be read back into an ECAD system.
