The following topics provide the background information on setting materials as variables in design studies.
Contents
You can evaluate scenarios of your design by varying the material for selected bodies without performing optimization.
You can include materials as variables in optimization design studies. The software creates interpolation groups and runs the optimization process within each group.
You can evaluate a wide range of design choices or optimize a current design by defining a parameter that sets bodies to use different materials as a design study variable. The bodies can belong to single-body or multibody parts.
After you create material parameters and link the bodies whose material will be parameterized, you specify a material or group of materials to apply.
