The Select Flyout Button in Assemblies

You can access many component selection tools on the Select flyout toolbar button.

On the Standard toolbar in assemblies, click the down-arrow on Select to access the commands listed below.
You can add Select to any toolbar.
Select All Selects all shown components and highlights them in the FeatureManager design tree.
Volume Select Selects components based on a temporary volume that you define.
Select Suppressed Selects all suppressed components and highlights them in the FeatureManager design tree.
Select Hidden Selects all hidden components and highlights them in the FeatureManager design tree.
Select Mated To Selects all components mated to the selected component.
Select Internal Components Selects all components that are enclosed by other components, and highlights them in the FeatureManager design tree.
Select Toolbox Selects all Toolbox components in the assembly.
Favorites Lists custom searches that you create and save in the Advanced Component Selection dialog box. Click a search name to select components based on that search's criteria. See Advanced Component Selection.

Adding the Select Tool to Any Toolbar

  1. Click Tools > Customize.
  2. In the dialog box, on the Commands tab, under Categories, select Standard.

    The buttons belonging to the Standard toolbar appear under Buttons.

  3. Drag Select to the CommandManager or any toolbar.
  4. Click OK.
