Auto-Spacing Solid Bodies

When you explode multiple solid bodies in one step, you can space them equally along an axis.

To auto-space solid bodies:

  1. Select two or more solid bodies.
  2. Under Options, select Auto-space solid bodies after drag.
  3. Drag a triad arm to explode the solid bodies.

When you drop the solid bodies, one body remains where you drop it, and the software automatically spaces the remaining bodies equally along the same axis.

    • You can use the drag handles Explode_drag_handle.gif to move the solid bodies and change their order in the chain.
    • You can change the autospace distance. In the PropertyManager, under Options, move the Adjust the spacing between chain solid bodies PM_minimum_value.gifslider.
