Creating Silhouette Split Lines

To create a silhouette split line:

  1. Click Split Line tool_Split_Line_Curves.gif (Curves toolbar) or Insert > Curve > Split Line.
  2. In the PropertyManager, under Type of Split, click Silhouette.
  3. Under Selections:
    • Select a plane to project through the model's silhouette (outer edges) for Direction of Pull PM_direction_of_pull.gif.
    • Select the faces to project the plane onto for Faces to Split PM_face.gif. The faces cannot be planar.
    • Set the Angle PM_angle.gif to create a draft angle.
  4. Click PM_OK.gif.
