Dispatch

Enterprise PDM Dispatch lets you automate tasks and processes in Enterprise. The module is fully customizable and configurable to accommodate support for any type of task or process.

Dispatch integrates seamlessly into an Enterprise vault and can be made to trigger on a number of events. For instance, an administrator might create a Dispatch action that triggers whenever a document reaches a certain workflow state. The triggered Dispatch action might, for example, initiate a script that creates a PDF file of the document.

  • Installing the Dispatch Add-In (32-Bit)

    You can install the Enterprise PDM Dispatch add-in if you have sufficient rights to install and administer add-ins. Once installed, any client connected to the vault in which it is installed can access Dispatch commands.

  • Installing the Dispatch Add-In (64-Bit)

    You can install the Enterprise PDM Dispatch add-in if you have sufficient rights to install and administer add-ins. Once installed, any client connected to the vault in which it is installed can access Dispatch commands.

  • Accessing Dispatch

    Access the Dispatch administration tool to create and edit Dispatch action scripts.

  • Creating Dispatch Action Scripts

    Dispatch action scripts let you configure one or more commands to be triggered by conditions you define. For example, you might trigger a check-in of files in a specified vault folder if a particular workflow state is entered.

  • Editing Dispatch Scripts

    Use the Edit Action dialog to edit and reorder actions in your Dispatch scripts.

  • Creating Variables for Dispatch Scripts

    Use the Set variables dialog to define Enterprise PDM Dispatch variables that evaluate when a Dispatch action runs.

  • Exporting Dispatch Scripts

    You can export Dispatch action scripts. After you export a Dispatch action script, you can always import the action script back into Dispatch using Load.

  • Importing Dispatch Scripts

    You can import previously saved Dispatch action scripts.
