- Creating Planes
You can create planes in part or assembly documents. You can use planes to sketch, to create a section view of a model, for a neutral plane in a draft feature, and so on.
- Plane PropertyManager
You select geometry and apply constraints to the geometry to define reference planes.
- Document Properties - Plane Display
You can specify color, transparency, and intersection options for plane display. Available for parts and assemblies.
- Hiding or Showing Planes
You can turn the display of planes on or off.
- Move, Resize, and Copy Planes
You can move, resize, and copy planes using the plane handles and edges.
- Automatic Sizing of Planes and Axes
Planes and axes that you create are automatically sized to either the geometry on which they are created, or to the bounding box of the model geometry. As the geometry changes size, the planes and axes update accordingly.
- Sketch Plane References
When you delete a parent feature that has child features built from sketches, you have the option to keep the child features and have the sketch plane references dangle. You can dangle a sketch plane reference by editing the sketch plane definition and removing the plane definition.
