GetD2AxisType Method (ILinearPatternFeatureData)

Gets the type of geometry used to determine direction 2 of this linear pattern feature.

.NET Syntax

Visual Basic (Declaration)
Function GetD2AxisType() As System.Integer
Visual Basic (Usage)
Dim instance As ILinearPatternFeatureData
Dim value As System.Integer
value = instance.GetD2AxisType()
System.int GetD2AxisType()
System.int GetD2AxisType();

Return Value

Geometry type used to create the linear pattern in direction 2:

  • 0 = axis or ref axis

  • 1 = edge

  • 2 = dimension

  • 3 = sketch segment

(see Remarks)

To determine LinearAxisType, you can use a Select Case statement:

Dim d1Axis as Sldworks.RefAxis

Dim d1Dim As SldWorks.Dimension

Dim d1Edge As SldWorks.Edge

Dim d1Curve As SldWorks.Curve

Dim d1SketchSegment As SldWorks.SketchSegment

Dim d1SketchLine As SldWorks.SketchLine

Dim obj as Object

Select Case obj.GetD1AxisType

Case 0 'Axis

d1Axis = obj.d2Axis

' Use IRefAxis methods and properties

Case 1 'Edge

d1Edge = obj.d2Axis

d1Curve = d1Edge.GetCurve

' Use IEdge and ICurve methods and properties

Case 2 'Dimension

d1Dim = obj.d2Axis

' Use IDimension methods and properties

Case 3 'SketchSegment

d1SketchSegment = obj.d2Axis

If d1SketchSegment.GetType = SwConst.swSketchSegments_e.swSketchLINE Then

d1SketchLine = d1Sketch

' Use ISketchSegment and ISketchLine methods and properties

End If

End Select
