Assigning Folder Rights

You can assign users or groups explicit rights to folders. The method is the same for both.

To assign folder rights to a user:

  1. Expand the Users node and double-click the user.
  2. In the left pane of the user's Properties dialog box, click Folder Permissions.
  3. On the Assigned Folder Permissions tab, click Add.
  4. In the Add Rights Assignment dialog box, select the folder.

    You can also:

    • Expand a folder to select a subfolder.
    • Create a new folder by selecting Make New Folder. Type the name of the new folder in the Make New Folder dialog box and click OK.

  5. Click OK.
