Changing a User Account Password

When you are logged in with administrator permissions, how you change a user account password depends on the type of user login (Enterprise PDM, Windows, or LDAP).

If you use Windows or LDAP logins, change user passwords using the appropriate user management tools on the Windows or LDAP server.

Users without administrator permissions can change only their own passwords.

To change the password of an Enterprise PDM user:

  1. Expand Users.
  2. Do one:
    • Right-click the user and select Change Password.
    • Double-click the user to display the user's Properties dialog box, and click Set Password.
  3. In the Change Password dialog box:
    1. Enter and confirm a new password.
    2. Enter the password you used to log in.
    3. Click OK.
