If you have selected to overwrite files, a screen message estimates the amount of free disk space that is needed on the archive server to backup the overwritten files. Ensure that enough space is available.
-
Optionally, click View Files to see a list of files that will be upgraded.
Each Batch in the list represents the files in a work instruction file.
- Click Finish.
A message box asks if you want to start processing the work instruction files.
- Do one of the following:
- To upgrade now, click Yes.
When a completion message appears, click OK.
- To exit the upgrade utility and run work instruction files at a later time, click No.
When you are ready to perform the upgrade, run the upgrade utility again and select the slave workstation option.
- In the Waiting for the slave upgrades to finish dialog box, do one of the following:
- Wait for the slave upgrades to finish. When they are complete, a summary appears on the screen.
- If there are no slave workstations performing the upgrade, click Stop Monitoring.
Click Yes to confirm the cancellation.
- Click Exit.
If the upgrade is interrupted, an error message is displayed. For example, the upgrade is terminated if SOLIDWORKS crashes or a network interruption prevents the upgrade tool from checking upgraded files back into the vault. See
Completing an Interrupted Upgrade.
After the upgrade is complete or cancelled, the Summary box lists the upgrade activities that have taken place on this computer. To see a log of the upgrade, click the link to the \Logs directory.
