Analysis Library Features

An analysis library feature is a frequently used analysis feature (such as load/restraint, contact condition, etc) that you create once and save in a library for future use.

The advantages of using analysis libraries are twofold:
  • Automate the use of analysis library items defined for a certain model in other similar models
  • Provide a means for the expert to define the most commonly used analysis features to analyze a specific design environment or operating conditions

  • Analysis Library Overview

    When you define an analysis library and set its path appropriately, the program creates an analysis library folder identified by the icon in the Task Pane. The Analysis Library folder is located on the disk in install_directory\Data\Analysis Library.

  • Creating Library Analysis Features

    To create analysis library features, you first create a study in which you define the analysis features that you want to include in the analysis library. You can create analysis libraries from part (with multi-bodies) and assembly documents. The analysis libraries have the *.sldalprt or *.sldalasm extensions.

  • Editing Analysis Library Features

    You can change which features are included as part of an analysis library feature in the library feature part or assembly document (*.sldalprt and *.sldalasm respectively).

  • Editing Bounds for an Analysis Library Feature

  • Deleting Analysis Library Features

  • References and Values with Analysis Library Features

    When you save a part or an assembly as an analysis library, the software adds a Library References and a Library Values folder in the Simulation study tree.
