Dimension Other PropertyManager

In the Dimension Other PropertyManager, you can specify the display of dimensions.

To open this PropertyManager:

Select one or more dimensions, then click Other in the Dimension PropertyManager.

If you select multiple dimensions, only the properties that apply to all the selected dimensions are available.

Override Units

Overrides the document's units defined in Document Properties - Units. Specify the unit type for the selected dimension.

The available options depend on the type of dimensions that you selected. For example, an Angular Unit can be Degrees, Deg/Min, Deg/Min/Sec, or Radians.

The mm suffix was appended to the dimension text manually.

Text Fonts

Dimension font Specifies the font used for the dimension. Either select Use document font, as defined in Document Properties - Dimensions, or clear this check box and click Font to select a new font type, style, and size for the selected items.
Tolerance font Specified the font used for the tolerance dimension. Select Use dimension font to use the same font as for dimensions. Clear Use dimension font to specify Font scale or Font height.
Fit tolerance font (For Fit tolerance types only.) Select Use dimension font to use the same font as for dimensions. Clear Use dimension font to specify Font scale or Font height.

Options

Read only  
Driven Specifies that the dimension is driven by other dimensions and conditions, and cannot be changed.

Routing

Available for SolidWorks Routing. See SolidWorks Routing Help for more information.

Use centerline dimension Calculates the distance from the centerline.
Include covering thickness
  • When selected, calculates the offset distance from the outer surface of the covering.
  • When cleared, calculates the distance from the outer surface of the pipe. The covering thickness is ignored.

In drawings with named layers, select a layer for the selected dimension.
