Appearances, Scenes, and Decals Tab

The Appearances, Scenes, and Decals tab on the Task Pane contains:

Dragging

When you drag an appearance, scene, or decal from the Appearances tab into the graphics area, you can apply it directly to the model. ALT-drag to open the corresponding PropertyManager or dialog box.

Double-clicking

When you double-click appearance or scene on the Appearances tab, the items are attached to the active document.

When you double-click a decal, the Decal PropertyManager opens, but the decal is not inserted into the graphics area.

Saving Custom Appearances, Scenes, and Decals

To save appearances, scenes, or decals:

  • Do one of the following:
    Option Description
    Custom Appearances In the Appearances PropertyManager, Click Advanced. On the Color/Image tab, click Save appearance.
    Scenes In the Edit Scene PropertyManager, on the Advanced tab, click Save Scene.
    Decals In the Decals PropertyManager, on the Image tab, click Save Decal.

Refreshing the Appearances, Scenes, and Decals Tab

To refresh the Appearances, Scenes, and Decals tab:

  1. In the Task Pane, select the Appearances, Scenes, and Decals tab.
  2. Click Refresh .

    Any changes since the last refresh are included in the display.
