Exporting BOMs

You can save a BOM to many different file formats, including BOM templates.

Exporting a BOM as a Microsoft Excel file saves the following formatting:
  • Text font, alignment, wrap, and rotation
  • Merged cells

To export a BOM:

  1. Right-click a BOM and click Save As.
  2. In the dialog box:
    1. For File name, type a value.
    2. In Save as type, select a file type.

You can apply this procedure to save a BOM as a BOM template for future use.
