Moving Components to a Workgroup PDM Vault

You can move components created by CircuitWorks to a Workgroup PDM vault. CircuitWorks accesses the vault when it needs the components in the future.

To move components to the vault:

  1. Open an ECAD file in CircuitWorks.
  2. Build the assembly.

    CircuitWorks creates new component models for components that are not already in the Component Library. The folder for the component models is specified by Components on the Models options page.

  3. From Workgroup PDM, check in the new component files using Check In with the Delete local copy? option.
